Charlene L. Jones spearheaded the St. Louis Public Schools’ $155 million bond issue campaign, which won a stunning 76 percent of the citywide vote, outpolling all other issues and candidates on the Aug. 3 ballot. Jones led the campaign as campaign manager while on summer break from her position as professor of political science at Harris-Stowe State University.
