Dannica Davis, a senior at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) East St. Louis Charter High School, recently received a special recognition from the United States Office of Population Affairs acknowledging her participation in the Better Family Life Call to Action Roundtable for adolescent health. Her dedication and contribution to promoting adolescent health have been commendable.
In addition to her this accomplishment, Davis has been awarded over $1.3 million in college scholarships. She has exciting plans for the future, as she will be attending Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in the fall to pursue a major in biology with the goal of becoming an anesthesiologist.
“Dannica is committed to raising awareness about important health issues among her peers and advocating for better access to healthcare services for adolescents. Her active participation in the Call to Action Roundtable demonstrates her leadership qualities and passion for making a positive impact on the well-being of young people,” said Gerald Quincy Jones, Better Family Life Adolescent Health & Wellness Education director.
