Gwendolyn Reed received the Hazelwood School District Lifetime Achievement Award. She was one of the first African-Americans hired in the Hazelwood School District, where she served as an educator for 30 years, and past president of the St. Louis Community College Board of Trustees. Now she is committeewoman of Spanish Lake Township.
