Jamala Rogers

Jamala Rogers received the 2014 Rosa L. Parks award at the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration sponsored by Washington University. It recognizes a member of the St. Louis community who exhibits the character, conscience and courage of Parks. The award honors those who have given a lifetime of service to the community and whose efforts have had impact far beyond immediate circumstances, without seeking personal gain. Rogers is a columnist for The American and longtime activist.
