Kenneth R. Garrett III has been appointed an associate circuit judge for the 16th Judicial Circuit in Jackson County by Gov. Jay Nixon. He was one of three applicants submitted to the governor for consideration under the Missouri Nonpartisan Court Plan. Garrett has been with the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office since 2004. He worked closely with the Kansas City Police Department Gang Unit, and lectures on criminal justice at the police academy.
