Kenyon Wofford received the George Washington Carver Rising Leader in Innovation and Service Award from the Carver Birthplace Association. He is a student at the Normandy 7th-8th Grade Center. The award was based on an essay and nomination from his former teacher, Janis Wiley. He received the award September 20 at the inaugural Carver Dinner at Washington University.
