Khandase Tate-Nero began medical training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale. The daughter of Kimberly Reed of St. Louis, she graduated from Metro High School and earned her bachelor’s degree at Xavier University of Louisiana. She recently attended the White Coat Ceremony, which is designed to establish a “psychological contract for professionalism and empathy” in medicine.
