Kiaundra Smith will serve as the new principal of Dr. Katie Harper Wright Elementary School in East St. Louis School District 189. Most recently, she served as one of the assistant principals at Lincoln Middle School in the district. She has served in various roles in the district since 2008, including four years as math instructional coach and four years as math and Spanish teacher at the high school.Â
