Washington University law professor Kimberly Norwood will receive the National Bar Association’s 2009 Humanitarian Award, in large part due to a pipeline/mentoring program she created for high school students. The award is given to someone who has “dedicated time, career and/or money to improve the community” and who “empowers others to improve their situation or condition.”
