“font-size: 9pt; font-family: Verdana;”>Rachel Ligon “font-size: 9pt; font-family: Verdana;”>has been awarded the 2012 Katherine Dunham Internship at the Regional Arts Commission. Ligon is a senior at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The internship, which includes a $2,500 stipend, was created in 2011 by Sara and Jack Burke to assist African Americans interested in pursuing a career in arts administration. It was named as a tribute to Ms. Burke’s mentor Katherine Dunham.
