Three employees of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s TRIO Upward Bound (UB) Programs graduated with master’s degrees from SIUE on Friday, Dec. 13.
Graduates are Christopher L. Cooper Sr., Upward Program director; Jasmeen Finn, UB counselor/data specialist; and Jurre Loveless, UB counselor.
“This degree offers the skills to manage public programs, lead teams and navigate the complexities of government agencies, non-profits and other public service organizations,” said Cooper, who received a master’s in public administration (MPA).
Finn also received an MPA degree. “I decided to study public administration, because I have always been passionate about making a substantial difference in people’s lives,” she said.
Loveless earned a master’s in project management. “I plan to use my degree to continue to create meaningful change in my community and beyond,” she said.
