The Saint Louis Public School District recently completed the sale of the Gardenville Elementary School building, 6651 Gravois Avenue. The property was sold to Concept Schools for $1.195 million.
This marks the third closed school building sold by the District during the 2012 calendar year. The district previously sold Garfield Elementary School (3200 Texas) and Scruggs Elementary School (4611 S. Grand) in March. Garfield is being developed as temporary housing and support services for the homeless. Scruggs is being developed as a place of worship, monastery and related activities.
Other SLPS properties currently available for sale are Cook School (5912 Horton – $780,000) and Lyon School (7417 Vermont – $860,000).
