St. Louis American Publisher and Executive Editor Donald M. Suggs recently has received a number of significant regional awards as a civic leader and publisher.
The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis awarded Suggs with its 2010 Spirit of Justice Award. Project 2010: Closing the Academic Achievement Gap recognized him with its 2010 Education Leadership Award. Missouri Community College Association selected Suggs and The American for its 2010 News Media Award.
