Ralph J. Thompson II, chief operations officer of Mind Safety Management, a St. Louis-based minority business enterprise, was recently named the new chair of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s Small Business Committee – Scott-St. Louis Area Chapter.

He said the goal for his tenure is to expand business networking opportunities and promote more successful partnerships between small and large businesses.

The committee was formed in 2002 by Brenda Newberry of The Newberry Group to connect small business members to federal information technology opportunities, education, and resources; to advocate for the use of small business by federal agencies; and to support the innovation that small business brings to federal procurement.
