Wells Fargo launched its first of what will become an annual Affordable Home Tour with a sponsors’ reception on May 4 at its corporate offices, located at One City Place, St. Louis. The reception was attended by more than 60 public officials, community partners, participating realtors, and Wells Fargo corporate staffers.
Wayne Castillo, Wells Fargo manager of Emerging Markets, said that nationwide, Wells Fargo hopes to inspire 10 million Americans to improve their
financial wealth through home ownership. One of the missions of the Affordable
Home Tour is to help emerging markets – which are comprised of first-time home
buyers, low-to-moderate income buyers and ethnic minorities – make achieving the
dream of home ownership a reality.
Wells Fargo is also interested in developing strong relationships within the
community and working with organizations like 100 Black Men of St. Louis, the
St. Louis American, and local realtors to help increase awareness of
homeownership and the positive impact it can have in neighborhoods.
