The University of Missouri-St. Louis Center for the Humanities’ 13th Annual What Is A City? Conference will be held October 25-26 in the J.C. Penney Conference Center on campus.

This year’s theme is Urban Perspectives in Film, Fiction, and Photography with examples from London, Chicago, Sarasota, Paris, Los Angeles, Florence, St. Louis and small towns.

Two prominent photographers who have incorporated the problems of African-Americans in their respective works, Anand Prahlad, professor of English at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Marco Williams, award-winning PBS director and producer with Hiptruth Productions, New York, are scheduled presenters.
