Black Enterprise 100 List
Three St. Louis businesses have been named among Black Enterprise’s list of the nation’s largest black-owned businesses.
World Wide Technology, Inc. founded by David L. Steward, is ranked No. 1 for the second consecutive year among the industrial/service companies. Brothers Michael and Steven Roberts rank 51st and 59th for Roberts Hotels Group LLC and Roberts Brothers Properties LLC, respectively. Their companies also are listed in the industrial/service category.
World Wide Technology, based in Maryland Heights, is a leading systems integrator that provides technology products, services and supply chain solutions to customers around the world. Founded in 1990 as a small startup, WWT now approaches $3 billion in revenue with more than 1,000 employees.
Roberts Hotels and Roberts Brothers Properties are just two of several businesses the two Roberts brothers own. They also own television stations, a cellular broadcast Tower Company, an aviation company, the Roberts Orpheum Theater, several residential and commercial developments in St. Louis and in the Bahamas, and a construction management and consulting firm.
