Vatterott College ex’Treme Institute by Nelly – St. Louis, an innovative music production school, has broadened its educational offerings to include two new classes this fall. These two classes provide students the opportunity to obtain training in web design and Photoshop from industry professionals.
The new class in web design helps students develop one of the many skills needed to succeed in the music industry and in business. The class is scheduled from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 18. Students will learn how to build and maintain their own website. A class on Photoshop 1 is also offered for those wanting to learn how to create CD covers, business cards, posters, flyers and t-shirts. This class will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 18. “Our goal is to develop classes with content that our students can utilize in the music industry and also in the corporate world,” explains Carl Nappa, Executive Director of the ex’Treme Institute by Nelly – St. Louis.

Community Action Agency Job Fair
The Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, Inc. (CAASTLC) is preparing to host its Fall Job Fair and invites job seekers 18 and older to attend. The fair will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 11 am – 3 pm at the Overland Community Center (9225 Lackland Road, 63114).
Candidates can speak with employer representatives face to face and learn important details about their hiring processes and priority qualifications.
Employers will be recruiting for openings in hospitality, sales, education, customer service, labor, clerical, nonprofit, and more. Candidates are encouraged to bring information about your employment history and general data necessary for filling applications. Professional dress is required.

Jobs Plus 2012 Jobs Fair
Jobs Plus 2012 Jobs Fair is set for Thursday, Sept. 13 from 1-5 p.m. at Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, Ill. The event will give job seekers the chance to meet with employers from across the St. Louis region and learn about employment opportunities in a wide variety of industries. The fair is free and open to the public.
Fair attendees are invited to dress for success and bring along their resumes to share with prospective employers. Those needing additional copies of their resumes can take advantage of free on-site copy services for the duration of the event. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day, and private meeting spaces will be made available at Gateway Convention Center for employers wishing to conduct on-the-spot interviews with job seekers. Fair participants will also have the opportunity to register to win one of four $50 gas cards.
A number of free informational workshops for job seekers will also take place during the event. Topics on tap include: making a job fair work for you; dressing for success; mock interviewing; job search tips for seniors; using the lllinois workNet Internet-based job search website and other web-based job search engines; and tips on filling out online job applications.
