Among its 215 graduates, the University City High School Class of 2005 can claim among its ranks one U.S. Presidential Scholar, seven valedictorians, one salutatorian, and a bevy of National Merit Scholarship program finalists and commended scholars.
The class, which held its commencement on May 31 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, has also received a record amount of scholarship awards totaling more than $2.3 million.
The 2005 valedictorians are Alice Hackett, Christina Johnson, Holly Mueller, Nathaniel Roman, Claire Santoro, Mary Sims and Anna Sobotka. Nicholas Wertsch is the class’ salutatorian and Santoro was recently named a U.S. Presidential Scholar.
