SBC Communications and the National Urban League recently awarded the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis a $70,000 grant to provide low-income citizens an opportunity to become competitive in career skill.

The Urban League will certify 60 clients in A+ computer programming language, giving them the opportunity to obtain a career in the IT field. Classes will be offered at League offices in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Clair County, Illinois. The Urban League is currently enrolling students into training sessions that will begin in April and July. For information, call (314) 615-3654.
