Division of Workforce Development (DWD) Director Rod Nunn and Missouri Economic Research & Information Center (MERIC) Director Dr. Marty Romitti announced a new website to assist workers affected by the latest round of Base Realignment and Closures (BRAC) in Missouri.
Developed jointly by MERIC and DWD, the BRAC web portal provides the latest news and information about state and national services designed to assist affected workers in the process of gaining re-employment. The website contains a customized labor market information application for assisting dislocated workers in finding employment and wage data in their region by industry and occupation. Also included on the web portal are links to websites that can assist BRAC-affected workers in the job searching and application process.
“This web tool will help affected workers get back on their feet as quickly as possible by providing them with regional labor market data and contact information for state and regional services available to Dislocated BRAC workers,” said Nunn.
The BRAC web portal is funded through a federal National Emergency Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration for Base Realignment and Closure planning.
