Scholarship Brunch the Education Committee of Phi Beta Sigma

Fraternity, Inc awarded $ 3,500 in scholarships to deserving high

school seniors.

were De’Von Washington, Christian Brothers College High School;

Jourdon Morgan III, Hazelwood East High School; Chris Johnson,

Lafayette High School; and Kendrick Strong II, Mel Carnahan High

School.

Organizers said, “We continued our philanthropic legacy by

upholding our motto, ‘Culture for Service, and Service for

Humanity.’”

Anthony McDonald, of the Risen Foundation, allowed all in

attendance a preview of literary excerpts from books penned by

several of his students. The students spoke from the heart and gave

a riveting display of all their hard work.

The scholarship program continued with guest speaker, Bro. Eugene

Simpson. Bro. Simpson, a father, brother, an educator, brought his

entire repertoire and provided an exhilarating call to

ACTION.
