Neo-soul pioneer Jill Scott made her debut as a mother Monday afternoon after she and her fiancé “Lil” John Roberts became the proud parents of a baby boy.
Scott, a Philadelphia native, gave birth in Los Angeles.
Lil’ Jett Hamilton Roberts weighed in 7 pounds, 8oz and was 20 inches long. Jett was born on Monday, April 20 at 4:20 p.m.
Scott revealed that she was pregnant during the Television Critics Association convention in January.
She’s currently starring as Botswanan detective Precious Ramotswe in HBO’s adaptation of novelist Alexander McCall Smith’s “No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency” series,
