Lee Thompson Young – the actor who played the main character on Disney’s “The Famous Jett Jackson – was found dead in his residence. He was 29.
TMZ is reporting that officials said the death appeared to be the result of a suicide.
Sources told TMZ that Young’s body was discovered with a gunshot wound that appears to be self-inflicted.
Young appeared on the TNT show “Rizzoli & Isles.”
TMZ said that when he didn’t show up to work this morning, staffers called the landlord of Young’s L.A. home to check up on the actor. The landlord reportedly opened the door and discovered Young’s body.
