Her July 22nd show sold out in one day, so Grammy winning R&B Legend Anita Baker has added another date to the St. Louis leg of her Farewell Tour at The Fox Theatre. Baker will also perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 In addition to the Sunday, July 22. Tickets for the second show go on sale Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
Regarded as one of the most popular vocalists of soulful romantic ballads, and an integral part in helping to launch the quiet storm period of contemporary R&B in the 1980’s, Anita Baker’s career spans over three decades and includes eight Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, seven Soul Train Awards, seven platinum albums and six world tours.
It’s been 35 years since the release of Baker’s Grammy Award winning debut album “Songstress.” She announced her retirement from music at the end of last year. At the beginning of 2018 Baker delighted fans with the news she would take to the road for a farewell tour in select cities.
