According to Eurweb.com, singer Bobby Brown, 43, was taken into custody in Southern California Monday afternoon on suspicion of driving under the influence.
California Highway Patrol says he was arrested around 12:20 p.m. in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles. He was booked after failing a field sobriety test.
Harris says the R&B star was pulled over after an officer saw him talking on his cellphone without a hands-free unit and noticed he appeared to be impaired.
Los Angeles police say Brown paid $5,000 bail and was released on his own recognizance shortly before 2 p.m.
