“Education is definitely important because its something that no one can take away from you.” Said Bow Wow.
The platinum selling rapper braved the ice storm last Friday afternoon to come to Beaumont High School, giving them props for winning a radio contest with Radio One hip-hop station Hot 104.1 FM.
Student staff members of the Beaumont High School Newspaper were eager to learn about his personal life as well. When one of them asked if he was dating singer Cassie, he said no with a suspicious smile.
After a small group interview with the newspaper crew, he headed for the auditorium. After being introduced by members of the Hot 104.1 line up, security had to push the screaming fans back.
Radio personality Dre Johnson attempted to ask the questions that were on everyone’s mind, including his relationship with R&B singer Ciara. Bow Wow also took the opportunity to plug his Album “The Price of Fame”, which drops Tuesday, December 19.
But at the end of the day, Bow Wow says that his showing the Bluejackets some love was all about teaching them the importance of getting the proper tools to succeed.
“I mean I have millions listening to my music, so why not reach the same amount of people talking about something positive, like what I’m doing here.”

Bow Wow said. “ That was something that my Mom preached to me all the time. Now that I’m older, I definitely thank her for that.”
