As the Ambassador readies to close its doors on the grounds of the former Northland Shopping Center, one of the biggest independent shows to ever take stage there is this weekend. It’s the Bass Player’s Ball, with Ray Parker Jr., George Johnson of the Brother’s Johnson, Michael Henderson, Sir Nose of Parliament/Funkadelic, Adina Howard, SLAVE and the Calloway Brothers. The Ambassador will officially close June 12.
