Bobby “Blue” Bland is set to headline the Ambassador’s annual blues concert. At 73, Bland is still considered by many to be the world’s greatest blues singer. His career has spanned more than 50 years with 60 releases, more than 50 Top Ten singles n in formats ranging from 78s to CDs. Some of his hits include: “Two Steps From the Blues,” “Further On Up The Road,” “Cry, Cry, Cry,” “Little Boy Blue,” “St. James Infirmary,” “I’ll Take Care of You,” I Pity The Fool,” Ain’t Nothing You Can Do,” “These Hands,” “Poverty,” “That’s the Way Love Is” and “Call On Me.” He has received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award (1997), a Blues Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award (1998) and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (1992
