I feel you, Kim. They say it’s the little things that wear you down and drive you crazy. And we know brothers fuss more with their hair and have more work to do in maintaining it than “our Caucasian counterparts.” And it’s a good idea to question authority. If we accepted the way things was “just because,” we’d have a whole lot worse problems than we do today, and we’re just about buried with grief as it is. That said, our husbands and brothers and cousins in lockdown do have more serious concerns than how their hair looks when they represent themselves to visitors. Let’s look past the surface even while we’re worrying about the surface.
