R&B and Neo-soul legend D’Angelo quietly released his first album in more than 14 years, at midnight Monday morning (Dec. 15). After years of rumors and speculation, the 12-song album, entitled Black Messiah, was released online on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Music, Amazon Music and more.
It’s the artist’s first release since Voodoo hit the shelves in the year 2000. The album features collaborations from Q-Tip, Questlove and others. Early reviews have praised the efforts of the mercurial artist.
