Lawyers for rapper Eve were in Los Angeles County Superior Court Thursday to cut a deal on her DUI charges, reports TMZ.com.
The artist’s attorney, Blair Berk, entered a plea of no contest and agreed that she would spend 45 days in a SCRAM alcohol monitoring device attached to her ankle, the Web site reported.
She was also ordered to pay $1400 in fines and penalties, and to enroll in the first offender alcohol education program.
Berk must address the court again on July 20 with proof that Ms. Eve Jihan Jeffers is indeed enrolled in the alcohol education program and sporting the SCRAM device, a contraption also given to actor/comedian Tracy Morgan as part of his DUI plea deal.
