“All of our artists are actual recording artist with musical styles stemming from neo-soul, to rap to rock,” said Gotta Be Me Music and Fashion showcase organizer Romney Rice. “We are having a show similar to Bet’s “Rip the Runway” featuring live musical artists performing during the course of a runway show. So though it may be gospel, it is definitely going to be Hot!”
The show – presented by Edem LLC and Fierce Styling – and will take place on November 13 at the trendy Third Degree Glass Factory.
“Gotta Be Me” will feature some of the best inspired music artists in the area and some of the hottest styles of the fall fashion season. Jai, This’l and Rio are just a few of the featured artists for the event, which will be hosted by Majic 104.9 personality Selena J.
“We are also having a designer’s challenge” Rice said. “Some of the STL’s own hottest designer’s will battle it out in a ‘winner takes all’ show down.”
The event will be a hip alternative for the young and saved a unique experience and healthy alternative to sometimes overtly sexual overtones – through the music and the styles – reflected on the runway.
The Gotta Be Me Music and Fashion Showcase will take place on Friday, Nov. 13 at the Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar). The pre-show festivities kick-off at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at all Metrotix locations and by calling (314) 534-1111 or (314) 494-3426.
