The owner of the funeral home that handled Whitney Houston’s services says she knows who took a photograph of the late singer in her coffin.

The National Enquirer published the controversial picture on its front cover just a few days after Houston was buried.

Family and fans were outraged, and people immediately began speculating over who took the picture. Rumors suggested that funeral home owner Carolyn Whigham or one of her employees is responsible.

Whigham has denied it from the beginning.

“You are looking at the only three people who saw Whitney Houston. My staff, my secretaries, my drivers never, never was exposed to any area that she was in. Whitney was always on the lower level, under lock and key, security being provided by Nippy Inc. Not my security. Nippy Inc. security. They traveled to us, with us, from Los Angeles to Van Nuys Airport. When we landed here in Teterboro, her security from East Coast was there. They slept in my building. I had people that I had never seen in my life who were part of her security sleeping here in my funeral home,” said Whigham.

Whigham says she’s gotten dozens of threatening emails, and has even been spit on, since the magazine hit the stands.

She says her and two local pastors say they know who took the picture, but that it’s up to the Houston family to reveal that person’s identity.

Whigham says she’s still considering taking legal action against those who accused her funeral home of having any involvement with the photograph.
