Suspended Indiana Pacers Forward Ron Artest will be spending his recently gained free time promoting his rap debut album through his label, Truwarier Records.
Artest was recently suspended for the remainder of the NBA season for his involvement in a huge game scuffle during a televised game against the Detroit Pistons.
Artest began punching fans in the stands and on the court after being shoved by Pistons’ Forward Ben Wallace after a foul.
Artest, 24, has recently been promoting his R&B female group, Allure, whose album Chapter III came out last week. The trio is famous for their collaboration All Cried Out with Bad Boy Records’ R&B favorite 112. He is also showcasing other artists, whose albums will only be available through the Truwarier Records website store.
As for his own rap efforts, Artest – who raps as Paqman – released two volumes of his Truwarier All-Stars Mixtape earlier this year with guest appearances by 50 Cent, Nas and Canibus. The release date for his debut has not been announced, but an audio of his single We Party is available at www.truwarierrecords.com.
