These days multi-platinum selling R & B sensation Ginuwine has a serious St. Louis connection. He recently signed with the St. Louis based Notifi Records (which has distribution on Warner Bros. Music). He will be in town this weekend to debut the material from his latest CD entitled A Man’s worth (most of which was produced right here in the STL) to his loyal STL fans and his new STL family i.e. Notifi on Sunday night at the Loft.
“Notifi Records is proud to be working with such a well respected artist and look forward to the creative direction this project is headed,” Said Ira DeWitt, CEO of Notifi.
Ginuwine can boast 5 platinum and multi platinum-selling albums. Some of his biggest hits include “Pony” (reached number one on Billboard’s R& B Charts), “Differences,” (charted at number four on Hot 100 and number one on Billboard’s R & B charts), “In Those Jeans” (number three on Billboard’s R &B charts) and “So Anxious” (number two on Billboard’s R & B charts).
Ginuwine’s feelings about the upcoming partnership with Notifi are mutual.
“I didn’t want to rush into just doing what a label told me to do but rather take time to be creative and find music and projects that I have creative control over,” Ginuwine said. “Notifi is giving me the support and creative freedom to record the sounds I think best represent me.”
The concert, sponsored by 100.3 the Beat and Liquid Assets, will also feature performances by Varsity, Ms. Bee and Ollie. The show will be held at the Loft (3112 Olive). Tickets are $15 and doors open at 9 p.m.,
