On Saturday, March 21, the Manifest Your Destiny Foundation will host a Youth Empowerment Summit in St. Louis, MO with a pickup location in East St. Louis, IL.
This Summit is a composite of interactive and relevant workshops led by Hill, local presenters, along with special partners and friends.
The Youth Empowerment Summit is designed with young leaders in mind.
The summit aims to challenge and encourage regional youth to think critically about who they are as individuals and what issues they care about as emerging leaders throughout their community.
The Schedule for the Youth Empowerment Summit is as follows:
8:00am – Registration and Check-In
9:00am – Opening General Session and Youth Townhall Meeting (hosted by Hill Harper)
10:30am – 12:00pm Breakout Sessions (attendees choose two sessions)
1pm – Campus Tour and Impact Fair
BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Putting Money in Its Place – Participants learn the basics of handling their money and finances, including how to create positive relationships with local financial institutions, while planning for the future. Equipping young people in their influential years with the basics of financial education will give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to manage their finances as they enter the real world.
Conversation with a Young Brother – Male attendees will receive an inspirational, down-to-earth style, presentation that will help them chart their own path to success. Based on Hill’s book, the topics covered will include tough issues that face young men today such as educational achievement and self-respect, and highlight what it truly means to be a successful male.
Conversations with a Young Sister – This conversational-style breakout session, seeks to inspire and empower young ladies to be confident and bold in pursuing their dreams –all while realizing their value, and huge contribution to their community, and on the world. Topics covered include: Self-esteem, good decision making techniques and pathways to success.
About My Business: Entrepreneurship 101 – The session focuses on the steps to entrepreneurship and what it takes to start and manage a business or launch a career in the entertainment industry.
