Apollo Nida has given his first interview since turning himself in to serve an 8 year prison sentence for bank fraud and identity theft.

Naughty Gossip got their hands on an advance copy of next week’s issue of “In Touch Weekly,” where Nida reveals that his estranged wife Phaedra Parks has had a change of heart and is now considering allowing their two sons to visit him in prison – and that he vows to turn his life around.

“I know for a fact that when I get home, I will pick up the pieces,” Nida told “In Touch.”

Meanwhile, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star NeNe Leakes adds a bit of tea for those fans who were shocked last week when Phaedra conspicuously left her on-screen bff Kandi Burruss’ name off the list of friends who’ve supported her through Nida’s conviction.

In her blog on Bravo.com, Leakes calls out Phaedra’s  “so called friends,” leading plenty to believe that she was referring to Burruss.

Leakes said:

As far as Phaedra and Apollo, it’s always sad to see a family end no matter who’s right or wrong. I’m glad I can say I was a rock for Phaedra during this time and never judged her. This definitely should be an eye opener for her as well, because it’s always the ones you never thought would support you that do and the ones you thought would be there during rough times that always seem to magically disappear.”
