Last month Lil Wayne began streaming songs from his “Free Weezy” Album exclusively on Tidal.
Well according to TMZ.com, Birdman just filed a $50 million lawsuit against Jay Z and Tidal claiming Cash Money Records has exclusive rights to Lil Wayne’s music.
Tidal claims they were given rights to stream Weezy’s music in exchange for part ownership in the company. But apparently Lil Wayne’s contract with Cash Money specifically says he does not have the power to license his music to anyone.
