Former “City High” singer Claudette Ortiz is speaking out about the recent episode of A&E’s “Intervention” that featured her former group member and ex-boyfriend Robbie.
In the show, Robbie suggests that his breakup with Ortiz and her subsequent relationship and marriage to group member Ryan Toby sent him reeling into alcoholism. But Ortiz says otherwise.
“He was like that before City High,” Ortiz said. “I got with Ryan because Robbie was an alcoholic… & the way he treated me. If I had a man now that had problems with alcoholism but treated me good, I’d stick around & help him through it.
It was difficult for me to watch. I was saying to myself ‘wow you haven’t changed’’… & what you saw was mild. This is why I’m talking about it… I wanted to finally speak up & clear my name, but also speak to females in that position.”
