Earlier this week former hip-hop vixen Karrine Steffans announced on social media that her current boyfriend, actor Columbus Short, had been caught cheating and that she was throwing him out of her house.
“Somebody come get his cheating [expletive] and all of his [expletive],” Steffans said as the caption of a photo on her Instagram account. The picture featured a man who appeared to be Short (his face was obscured with a hood) with clothes and personal items strewn across what looked to be a lobby area.
Short confirmed the news in a series of tweets. An excerpt of them is as follows:
“Just want to say that it’s unfortunate the way things ended up. I felt truly that a woman gave me a home and a place to get my mind right and a place to maturate gifts that I wasn’t able to foster without stability.
Toxicity of any kind isn’t healthy for anyone. I’ve been working hard to bring you guys quality movies, music and art. And that’s exactly what will continue to happen. How could you not love a woman who took you in a broken place and allowed you to heal? I’m thankful for the journey. It ain’t the first time I’ve been homeless. But it will definitely be the last.”
