Now that the Michael Jackson child-molestation case is in the hands of the jury, just who are the people deciding the singer’s fate? And should he be worried?
The individuals chosen to serve on the panel have a few interesting characteristics that could become factors during deliberations. Juror #1 has taken some law classes. Two other jurors have spouses who’ve been on both sides of the law n juror #10’s husband has been arrested for drunk driving and drugs, while juror #12’s ex-husband is a Santa Maria, California, detective.
Two of the panelists have someone close to them who have committed or been accused of sex crimes. Juror #5 has a grandson who is registered as a sex offender, which could make her more lenient, while juror #8 has a brother-in-law who molested his nieces. That same juror’s sister was also raped, at age 12.
