According to TMZ.com, the estate of Anthony Barré, better known as late YouTube personality Messy Mya, just filed suit against Beyoncé for allegedly sampling from his 2010 video “A 27 Piece Huh?” without permission for her hit song “Formation” –which has been certified gold.
“The estate goes on to claim they tried talking to Beyoncé about the sample, but says she blew them off,” TMZ said. “Now, the estate is asking for more than $20,000,000 in back royalties and other damages.
Barré was fatally shot in 2010 –at the height of his popularity.
