The executors of Michael Jackson’s estate have settled a royalty battle with the former Playboy model who starred in his iconic Thriller video, according to a report.
Ola Ray, who played Jackson’s girlfriend in the video, filed a lawsuit against the King of Pop shortly before he died in 2009, claiming she was still owed unpaid royalties stemming from her appearance in the video.
Her lawyer insisted she was owed a “substantial sum,” claiming the copyright value of the Thriller video is worth millions – and Tmz.com reported that estate chiefs have reached a settlement with Ray. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
