Turns out Oprah may not have gotten totally dissed when the talk show host was turned away from the Hermes luxury store in Paris last weekend, reports CNN. While the store did issue a formal apology, more details surrounding the incident have begun to surface.

The apology states, “Hermes regrets not having been able to accommodate Ms. Winfrey and her team and to provide her with the service and care that Hermes strives to provide.”

According to the apology, Winfrey arrived at the store roughly 15 minutes after it had closed for a “private PR event.” It was also reported that surveillance video proves that Oprah was even given a card and invited back to the store after being told she could not enter. While The New York Daily News first reported the incident as a case of racial profiling, claiming Hermes employees denied Oprah access due to “trouble with North Africans,” a Hermes spokeswoman told CNN “there was never any discussion of North Africans. That story is not true.”

CNN supports the Daily News’ assertion that Oprah is planning to discuss the situation on her show as a Crash moment – in reference to the racially charged movie – when it comes off hiatus in September.
