Shyne, a resident of New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility, is legally changing his name to Moses Michael Leviy after recently converting to Judaism, reports the New York Post. The rapper, whose real name is Jamaal Michael Barrow, is now claiming that he is descended from Ethiopian Jews. Shyne, born in 1978, was sentenced to 10 years for his role in a 1999 shooting that left three people wounded at the hotspot, Club NY.
