Two-time heavyweight champ “Iron” Mike Tyson melted to the canvas in the sixth round Saturday night after absorbing a seemingly soft punch from podgy Irish pugilist Kevin McBride.
“My career has been over since 1990,” a subdued Tyson told the packed news conference inside Washington, D.C.’s MCI Center after quitting in the sixth round of the fight and disappointing 54 percent of BET.comers, who predicted Tyson would win.
“I don’t have the guts to be in the sport anymore.”
