Anheuser Busch’s Johnny Furr, Jr. and Minga Furr recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at Windows on Washington. The event was also a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri’s new Urban Expansion Project. An initiative designed to significantly increase the number of mentors serving children in low-income urban neighborhoods of St. Louis and St. Louis County. Johnny Furr, Jr. serves as the General Chair of the volunteer recruitment campaign, called St. Louis Cares-Mentor 700. More than 200 guests attended the Furrs’ party, which has raised more than $12,000 and giifts for Big Brothers Big Sisters are still coming in. The donations were in lieu of gifts to the Furrs and was their way of supporting the St. Louis Cares mentoring program.
