Billed as The Holiday Jam, next Friday’s performance at the Chaifetz arena will most certainly continue the spirit of the season as soul crooner Kem returns to St. Louis – and for his latest stop he’s bringing vocal powerhouse Faith Evans, who will be making her Chaifetz debut.
R&B trio After 7 will also be providing their classic soul sound to the lineup.
Kem’s self-released debut, Kemistry, featured the #1 R&B hit “Love Calls” and was certified Gold. The sophomore effort from the Detroit based crooner, Album II, included the hits “I Can’t Stop Loving You” and “Find Your Way (Back in My Life)” and yielded a Billboard Music Award for Top R&B Single of the Year.
KEM recently headlined his sold-out national ‘Intimacy Tour.’ His album INTIMACY, debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart in August 2010. KEM was nominated for two NAACP Image Awards in 2006 for Outstanding Male Artist and Outstanding Song (“I Can’t Stop Loving You”); two Grammy Awards in 2010 for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song (“Why Would You Stay”) and the BET Centric Award.
Multi-platinum Grammy Award winning recording artist, Faith Evans will be joining KEM as part of this special evening. Evans’ storied career includes a Grammy Award for her hit single “I’ll Be Missing You.” In 2009, Evans won the African American Literary Award for her memoir Keep the Faith.
