According to several reports ‘Treme’ star Khandi Alexander is joining the cast of Scandal.
She has been cast in the role of Olivia Pope’s mother Maya Lewis and her recurring role begins on Thursday via flashbacks.
It was recently revealed on Scandal that President Fitzgerald Grant, and Olivia’s lover, may have shot down a plane carrying Maya Lewis on the order of Olivia’s father Rowan.
